There’s a lot of talk in New Age circles about how fear is a primary emotion that human beings need to overcome in order to be enlightened. We hear some talkers tell that the great cosmic being, Archangel Michael, has a specific “job” to help humans move beyond their fear. There is an endless supply of repetitive channeled material about letting go of fear. Many spiritual people have disciplined themselves to think in these terms and often attribute a lack of spiritual progress to not overcoming their fear.
In this article, we are going to take a look at this very powerful human emotion and explore its negative impact on human life, as well as the useful, nature-induced aspect of fear that serves an important purpose in this world. But before we get down-to-earth about fear, let’s get into the high-minded stuff first. Let’s talk spiritual!
Infinite Consciousness and Eternal Spirit
We are not just human beings: we are Infinite Consciousness. We are eternal spirits with Souls that span all incarnations, in all dimensions of time and space. We are immortal beings. Yet, many people don’t tap into this personal spiritual knowledge because they remain disconnected from their true Identity as “divine spirit in human form.” Enlightenment or spiritual awakening is nothing more than an applied awareness of this truth. (The trick, here, is the word “applied” but that is a subject for another post.)
Born to be a Better Kind of Human
Besides being spiritual in nature, we are also physical and mortal. Humans are biological animals. It will do no good to focus on being “spiritual” if we don’t understand what it is to be human and embrace that, first! Why? Because we weren’t born into the human condition to run away from it and have our heads in the stars all the time. We were born to experience what it is to be human, and then to be the most divine human we can be!
Intrinsic to the human experience is animal instinct, and the instinct for survival tops the list. Key to the survival of our species is sexual drive, hunger, and an inbuilt ability to know fear. The fear instinct has kept humankind from extinction: our progenitors knew better than to eat their food with a pride of lions or swim with the crocodiles or sleep in a viper pit. Without fear, the biologically-based, neural instinct that signals danger, pain, injury, or annihilation, humans probably wouldn’t be here today!
Fear forces addictive and stressful hormones through the body, and motivates us to act in necessary self-protection. For example, if a person makes an inappropriate move on you, your fear instinct raises an alarm to beware and engage appropriate measures. If your health is deteriorating because of a preventable habit and your doctor tells you to change or ways or you’re outta here, the fear of dying can motivate you to make the changes you need to make. The fear of burning your house down is what makes you unplug the iron and turn off the stove before you go on vacation. So not all fear is a bad thing: it is a human survival instinct and needs to be honored for its proper place in our lives. Sadly, many look to experience fear as entertainment, for the hormonal surges it activates within the body cause reactive processes that become addictive and harmful in many ways.
It’s when fear becomes reactive and dominating in our lives that we need to do something about it. In our next and final post on this topic, PART TWO, we’ll explore more and examine how to deal with fear in a constructive way to get free of its damaging consequences.

How to Be Free of Other People’s Bad Energy
Why is it that some people make you feel awful just by being around them? Often, it’s an energy thing. Their energy field can bring you down.
Worse, it can happen that their bad energy follows you. It clings to you. You can’t seem to shake the creepy or depressed feelings or the physical symptoms–like cold skin or a dull headache–that come from having been near them.
When I was young, I knew a woman who was an invasive hugger, but what she gave others with her hugs wasn’t the warm fuzzies! She gave ice. Auric ice. She made me cold to my core, and from the tip of every hair to the center of every cell. An energy vampire of expert skill, she drained the life force from everyone she touched and she did it as often as she could reach out and grab another warm body. Sometimes the energy ice would last for hours, and many years later, when I saw her for the last time, she was still vampirizing the life force out of everyone around her.
People who are spiritually sensitive are more subject to noticeable symptoms, but everyone can be affected by another person’s bad energy even when they’re not aware of it. Many of our readers are empathetic, good people who feel the emotions of other people and the energies of places. Empathic people pick up other people’s feelings and physical problems very easily, and if they don’t know better they can perceive someone else’s energy as their own. One of my clients told me this story:
“I went to my next door neighbor’s house to visit an elderly woman, to offer consolation after the passing of her mother. I hugged her and immediately I got this overwhelming dull, sick headache! She left the room and while I was wondering what was wrong with me, her daughter came up and said, ‘Poor mama! She gets these terrible sick headaches when she gets upset!’ I was blown away to realize I was feeling my neighbor’s headache!”
Learn to Energetically Recognize Yourself from “Other”
By being aware of your own aura, you are taking the first step to manage the energies you allow, or don’t allow, into your life. Mindfulness is the key, awareness is the answer. You have your own energy signature. No one else is the same as you in this way. By taking the time and awareness to feel your own consciousness, you are tuning into what is “you” so then, you will also be aware of what is “not you.”
Some people, maybe you, reading this have felt the presence of a departed loved one or another spirit at some time. How is this possible, that you can recognize the presence and identity of a spirit? You can do this because every being has a unique energetic frequency; you included, that is unmistakable. When you become aware of your own Light body, aura, or energetic frequency, (all interchangeable terms) you will no longer confuse your own energy with someone else’s.
Be prepared, though. Keeping your own energy up and vibrant and free of other people’s negativity requires a conscious, deliberate, disciplined effort. It’s an easy choice, really, because by doing so you will experience what it is to feel truly alive, and truly free. Joy and freedom, spiritual, mental, physical health and aliveness to your core is what you will get. These are the rewards of one who will consciously work to honor and protect their own sacred space, their auric boundaries.
Walk in a Bubble of Light Daily
At the start of each day, before you leave the sanctuary of your home or room, have a Light Bubble meditation exercise, or any one of the exercises mentioned on this site that places a Light barricade around your own aura. Reinforce this in your mind during the day, and especially when contact with undesirable energies can’t be avoided.
Use Discernment about Physical Contact
Most people, unaware of spiritual reality, have auras that are open and defenseless against invasion by other energies. When they have indiscriminate contact with others, such as hugging out of mere politeness, they are vulnerable to unwanted energetic exchange.
Likewise, many people don’t know there is no such thing as “casual sex.” During sexual activity, the aura is wide open and vulnerable to whatever energies are attached to the other person. Many a person has acquired negative energy, which adversely affects their life, from one-night stands and a “friendship” with “benefits.”
While this is a spiritual truth and a practical fact that is not popular in a culture that prides itself in sexual liberation, not all that is called “progress” is truly progress! If you are going to have sex with an essential stranger (someone you have not entered into a commitment with and that you do not really know that well) then the use of conscious auric protection is essential, even though this won’t be enough over the long haul. The only answer is: if you can’t have heart-centered sex with someone you truly know and truly love, don’t!
Make an Energetic Safety Zone When You Are Around People in Trouble
There are wonderful people in this world who like to take in stray puppies…and stray people. They step up to the plate to help troubled folk, which is noble, but not all people in need of a helping hand are good for you to be around. There are safe ways to help, and there are personal boundaries. Opening your life, your wallet, your house, your most personal spaces to the refugees of the world also opens your aura to an assortment of energies you may not be prepared to deal with. When you offer help of this nature, be mindful of the energies that are you and the energies that belong to the other person and keep your energetic boundaries intact.
Whenever you have involvement with people who are seriously ill, have drug addictions, alcoholic problems, psychological imbalances, psychopathic, neurotic, or severely dysfunctional behaviors, know that these beings have energies that need cleansing and you should use auric protection around yourself, otherwise you may find yourself having to deal with negative energy that has been transferred to you.
Choose Your Friends and Associates Wisely
Fact is, there are people you just should not be around! Period! Every person has their own level of tolerance and their own soul mission with regard to other people. Some of you have spiritual connections that need to be worked out with people who are challenging to be around. But remember this: never, ever are you expected by the Divine to take on other people’s energies!! Learn “self” from “other” and keep your own space sacred and inviolate. This is your spiritual duty to yourself.
Toxic relationships happen. The people you should minimize or eliminate contact with will give you certain feelings and experiences. Stay away from people who:
- Make you feel drained, exhausted, or give you unpleasant physical symptoms like aches, palpitations, chills, upset stomach, etc.
- Talk incessantly about themselves, their problems, gossip about others or dwell on negative or morbid subjects.
- Demean you in any way whatsoever.
- Try to control you or boss you excessively.
- Engage in any form of deceit.
- Rage on about other people, their bad relationships, using hate terms and ugly or profane language.
- Try to pry information out of you or otherwise invade your privacy without your consent or request.
Know When to Leave and When Not to Look Back
Let’s face it: too often you keep people in your life that don’t belong there because they make you feel bad. Do something about that. You are in charge. Whether it’s a friend, family member, neighbor, whoever: if the relationship does not lift you up or contribute good things to your life, leave it! And don’t look back.
Time for a Look in the Mirror
We can’t end this article without mentioning that life often sends to us what we put out; meaning, if you want good energy from others, give good energy! Many a time I have found that those who complain the most about the bad energy of others are dripping with it, themselves! If this is a frequent problem in your life, it may be time for a good energetic cleaning within yourself, first.
By being positive and loving yourself, you are establishing a strong aura that is far less vulnerable to incoming negative energy. Like attracts like, and that’s a fact. If you are having a problem with attracting the wrong kind of people into your life and it’s been a pattern, it’s time to take the opportunity for self-reflection this brings to you. Everything in your life is geared to help you grow spiritually, and having a good attitude about bad experiences is a good way to get your life on track!
Auric and Energy Cleansing Methods
Yes, I’ll say it again: a daily spiritual practice to envision and protect your auric Light Body is absolutely essential to keeping bad energy out! Also, when you’ve had some form of contact with someone who has upset you or made you feel bad in some way; take a bath with ½ cup of salt added to it! This is your first remedy and will soothe superficial damage to your energy field.
When energetic interference from bad energy goes deeper, meditation and “decording” (which is a spiritual action of cutting cords between energy fields) can be needed. Emotional counseling may be needed to break toxic relationships apart, and certainly inner work to strengthen a healthy sense of self is almost always a necessary step toward healing.

Psychometry: Is the Psychic Energy of Something Bad or Good?

We have all experienced “bad vibes” from another person, or a certain place, or a certain thing at some time or another. Many years ago, my sister was
helping me clean out an old garage, when we came across a battered box with a very, very old fire poker inside…along with some other nondescript antiques. She was in the process of retrieving the fire poker when she squealed and dropped it. “This has terrible, TERRIBLE energy!” she yelled. Sure enough, when I pulled it up and away, I too, wanted to be rid of it. The object oozed with malice, hatred…and worse…what my trained, clairvoyant eye saw need not be shared.
The fate of that menacing instrument was not the garbage can. It was summarily cleansed, energetically severed from its past circumstance, dedicated to Divine Light, and buried deep within the earth for dissolution and renewal. One does not want to leave something like that in circulation for another unsuspecting person to be psychically injured: there are proper procedures to dispose of items that carry dark psychic imprints.
One day humanity will learn that whether something is an old piece of iron or a diamond studded treasure; whether it is deemed beautiful to the eye or not; whether it can be exchanged for paper called dollars or not: it is the energy of something that determines its worth. Many an item that is considered valuable in this energetically-blind world should be disposed of!
When it comes to having good energy around you, having things nearby that have good energy in them is also important! When we feel a need for a psychic cleanse, we need to scrub our energy bodies/auras but let’s not forget it’s also important to look around the house for ways to remove bad energy in there, as well!
In our MySpiritCare articles on Thought Forms, here and here, I explain how the energies of thoughts are projected outward, influencing the energy matrix of life. Similarly, our thought energies become infused into things and possessions, as sub-atomic imprints of moments in time. Because people aren’t educated or aware of energetic imprints left behind on objects from the history of their use or owners, they may acquire second-hand items or purchase antiques that are infused with bad energy. You may be shopping at a yard sale or a junk shop, an antique store or a used clothing store, but if something that is otherwise appealing does not “feel right” to you, don’t take ownership of it!
In a similar vein, I advise clients to give careful consideration when it comes to wearing second-hand jewelry and clothes when the history and previous owner is unknown. Unless you want that person’s residual energy to mingle with yours, it is best to avoid wearing another’s jewelry or clothes unless these have been psychically cleansed, first.
Old gypsies used to scare people by railing on about “bad luck” and while there is a generous amount of superstition and ignorance in all of that, the fact of residual psychic energy is very real. The psychic talent associated with reading the energy of objects is called “psychometry,” pronounced “sahy-kom-i-tree.”
Although “real-world” skeptics assert this is a claimed talent, these are the same folks who know nothing about the energy realities that do exist but have been known to wise mystical sages for eons of time. In your own life, you may have had experiences with objects or places that either gave you the “creeps” or made you feel good for some reason. This would be your own personal evidence that psychometry is a real phenomenon, and that your own psychic abilities are at least somewhat active and can be further developed.
Residual psychic energy is abundant in furniture, buildings, plots of land, papers and letters, historical places, photographs, food (from the people who handled it, the ground it came from, the animal that sacrificed itself, etc.) and rocks and crystals. This is one reason that unprepared people who are highly sensitive to energies can be found to lead reclusive lives: they are easily overwhelmed by the latent energies around them as well as active energies in any given situation.
So next time you pick something up, go into a store, a church, an office, a park…wherever you go and whatever you touch…tune yourself into how that place or thing makes you feel. When things don’t feel right, trust your innate psychic abilities and walk away if you can. If you can’t, use a protective Light meditation/exercise to surround yourself so that the energy you don’t want in, can’t get in!
When you need help decoding the energies around you or need advice on how to cope with energy that disturbs you, give me a call here at MySpiritCare! Toll-free, the number is 888-494-0493. As an experienced psychic clairvoyant, I will do a clairvoyant energy assessment and let you know how to remedy the situation.
Until our next post, dear friends, the best of energy to you all!

Tips & Techniques to Have Positive Energy and a Good Aura, No Matter What!
For many people right now, creating a good aura and positive energy around them can be difficult. Although there are people who are doing fine financially, who have great careers and good health and all the marvelous amenities modern life can offer, there is a rapidly expanding gulf between the “haves” and the “have nots.” As you may have discovered, it is far easier to “be spiritual” when things are going your way. But when life gets tough, it can be very difficult to be spiritually connected and maintain positive energy.
Tough Times and Heavy Hearts
Increasing numbers are suffering greatly in body, mind and spirit. Sadly, the collective sense of social mercy and justice has left the nation: millions of people go without health care, jobs, homes, or a social safety net. Added to their immense suffering is an impersonal, self-serving social system that purports to help (in order to justify its tax burdensome existence) but does not. Millions of people live on the edge and are falling into an abyss.
The material reality is utterly heartless for precious beings, human and non. Likewise, emotional realities fair no better. Tough economies and political decay translate into shattered social connections so essential to human health and happiness. Although there are people who are happily attached to a romantic partner or enjoy a strong sense of family security and connection to others, many more find themselves without a partner of any kind, have broken family ties, or feel essentially friendless. Epidemic isolation of people from one another is the worst kind of curse to the human spirit. Not only are we social animals who are wired to connect with one another, we are spiritual beings who long to give and receive love.
Around the globe, wars rage and diplomats arrogantly play with human life over intellectual absurdities and outright lies. Deception is the rule–not the exception. Moral and ethical decay has corroded all of our social systems: government, politics, religion, education, finance, business, media–if you can name it, you can find a lie. This creates dissonance and confusion within the human psyche, leading to mental lock-up, indecision, and despair.
You’re Not Going Crazy…The World Has Gone Crazy!
Many innocent, loving souls who strive to do good tell me that they are growing weary. They feel alienated from a world that makes no sense to them. Some think they’re going crazy because they see the world as upside down. If you feel that way, know that you are not crazy and you are correct: the world makes no sense. The insanity all around us can only make sense to the insane, who have shaped the world into what it is today.
National and global turmoil, psychopathology, and spiritual darkness are negative energies that people battle with. Every day, people are pressed upon by negative energy–whether they know it or not.
What can be done about it? How can you overcome?
Truths and Techniques to Keep Your Energy Positive
Buddha taught that the the path to liberation from suffering is Truth. What many do not realize is that dogma is not the same as Truth. Dogma will let you down at some point in your life. When you no longer know what to believe or hold onto, the following Truths, and Techniques, will get you through.
Six Truths to Know:
- You are an immortal, indestructible Spirit housed in a temporary physical form. The real, eternal you cannot die and you cannot be destroyed.
- You were born free. You are free. Whatever enslaves you, you have given your consent. You can revoke your contracts of bondage. Be the free spirit that is your Divine Birthright.
- You are unconditionally loved by Life…the Infinite Creator of Life…and Love is the energy you are made of. You are never without love, even when others are unloving to you!
- Things, being what they are, are not what they seem to be! What you see, what you believe, what you think, what you’ve been taught are not absolutes: every intellectual certainty you own is destined for correction.
- The rock foundation of your life comes from knowing who you truly are and loving yourself, first. Jesus taught, “Love thy neighbor as thyself” but almost all people fail to get the “thyself” part. Seeking love from others in order to feel loved is building your house of life upon shifting sands. Know who you are. You are worthy of love, yes, you are! So love yourself.
- There is humor in the absurd. When you rise above the unrelenting trial, the excruciating injustice, you will find your smile again. Don’t get stuck in the mire of resentment, revenge, and hatred. The cosmos rolls on. What is horrible now, will be remade. Don’t sacrifice yourself to darkness. That’s what it wants you to do. If you want to get even, keep your smile.
- Master your thoughts. While how you feel influences your thoughts, your thoughts influence your actions. Realize your thoughts fuel your emotions. Emotions change for the better, but not when you are locked into negative thinking! Break that debilitating loop by disciplining yourself to keep your thoughts positive. Look at the proverbial glass as “Half full” instead of “Half empty.” You are forging a doorway out of your misery.
- Follow a daily spiritual practice. There is no option for you not to do this. There is no other way, if you want to change your life.
- Do things that are hard to do: discipline is a necessary part of a successful life. The easy way out is for losers. Life will not coddle you out of your troubles, so don’t waste yourself in complaining and whining. Want some examples of discipline? Master your thoughts and have a spiritual practice!
These take discipline at first, but they become something you love to do because they work. - Serve others. Do something nice for somebody. Reach out. Give of yourself. Make the world better with your caring.
- Love beauty and be curious. The world is incredible even if we’ve messed it up! Listen to uplifting music and read uplifting books. Create something. Learn something new.
- Take care of your body. Don’t eat junk. Drink pure water without chlorine and fluoride. Get adequate sleep. Have a stress elimination routine (like a daily spiritual practice!!) and get exercise.
- Spend time in nature. You need nature because you came from nature

An Easy Daily Practice for Spiritual Protection and Strength
Hello, wonderful readers! Today is December 8th; it’s another blessed day to be alive. Oh, I know it isn’t always great…life is often hard and currently, serious challenges mount in our world. Many people are out of work, many struggle with illness, loneliness, financial strain, spiritual emptiness: life throws tremendous problems our way.
When things are going great in life, most people don’t give much thought to their spiritual welfare, beyond superficial worship or brief prayers. It’s when the junk hits the fan that we start looking around for help from a Higher Power.
If―as many believe—God truly were made in the image of man, that’s when we’d really be into some trouble. For one thing, what kind of a relationship can we have if we only give someone our time and interest when we’re in need or in trouble?
Each of our readers is at a different place in their lives, with different beliefs, circumstances, personalities, and your own unique way of coping with circumstances in your life. Some of you are ready for a greater spiritual connection: a sense of being connected to the Divine. Many of our readers are going through difficulties that require a spiritual connection to get through hard times. The meditation here also provides psychic protection and spiritual cleansing.
There are some of you who know you should take the time to spiritually connect, but don’t, or don’t feel you have the time. I realize that taking time to regularly do what I call “Light Work” requires effort, no doubt, but it’s a wonderful practice that will make a huge difference in your life. What follows is just one meditative practice among many. Find one that works best for you.
Unplug the phone, put up the cat, and get comfortably settled in a quiet place. Let go of your concerns, for you are going to let your awareness of the Divine come in. Close your eyes, leaving a small slit to barely let the light through.Watch your thoughts and do not judge them. Relax. Focus on your breath. As you do this, envision yourself sitting in the center of a large triangle, or pyramid, floating, with its apex at the crown of your head. Envision this pyramid being flooded with brilliant golden-white Light, coming from Divine Source, filling this vessel, every cell and atom of your body. Bathe in this Light. Affirm your love. Ask for Divine Presence to surround, fill and guide you. Intend it. Trust. Listen. Be. When it is time to reenter the conscious realm, give thanks for your life and for the help you are given. Now know…go forward and know…Divine energy has responded and you are not alone.
Sometimes, you just have to believe. You have to reach out and scoop up stardust in your hands and hold it close: you don’t have to see it for it to be real. Most of what’s real cannot be seen: like air, Spirit is an invisible, ever-present reality. It’s the Force of Life that put you here. It is love.
Even when it seems that there is no love for you in this world because things are going rough, know that this, too, shall pass. Love is the sun behind the clouds and it never quits shining. I send love and support to all of you this day. And of course, I’m right by the phone to provide a clairvoyant psychic reading or spiritual coaching, if you need to talk to me at My Spirit Care: 888-494-o493. Namaste.

Psychic Insight About Romantic Love

The pursuit and keeping of romantic love is a primary concern for most
people at different times in their lives. As a clairvoyant here at MySpiritCare, and having consulted with many thousands of clients, it’s very clear to me that often the problems in romantic relationships aren’t about finding love, but in our understanding–and lack of understanding–about what love really is.
We are almost never taught the truth about romantic love because most of the people who set the stage for our lives didn’t understand it either. In this culture, understanding love is a trial-and-error, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants experience. As much as we don’t want a failed romance, bad relationships are the way most people get their lessons about love. They find out what doesn’t work before they can figure out what does.
It’s a fact that from the moment of birth, we begin looking for love. As adults, we think that romantic love is equivalent to security, safety and to have our needs met because we began our earth lives processing love in that way. As infants, we experienced “love” as being the center of someone’s devoted attention. To get attention as babies, we had to vie for it or manipulate others (cry) to meet our needs and as adults, many people continue this pattern.
It’s a fact that when childhood experiences do not meet our need to feel unconditionally loved and nurtured, adults may seek love relationships to meet the deeply buried needs of their childhood. Surprisingly, many grownups—in one way or another—have not matured beyond this early, infantile perception of love and still seek love as an antidote to their feelings of insecurity. The fear that prompts insecurity is always a detriment to good loving relationships and causes many relationships to go lifeless or fail.
We Get So Mixed Up About Love
For sure, the romantic ideas that many women entertain (as portrayed in romance novels, for instance) are pure fantasy. These are responsible for untold frustration, heartache and immense suffering on an inter-generational scale. Romantic myths perpetuated in books and movies are profitable delusions, making fortunes for writers and entertainers. Meanwhile, they misguide women who have no experience with knowing the very different male mind and likewise, they do nothing to teach to men the truth about a woman’s soul. And it’s not just the media that makes love fantasies. Our very culture fills people with false assumptions about love. This is the foremost contributor to why a huge percentage of relationships don’t work out or don’t last.
Misperceptions aside, the fact is that normal human personalities change over time. Partners that were once compatible, based on personalities, often grow apart when deep inner changes occur. This is why partnerships locked onto early in life, before maturity is somewhat ripened, often end.
While many mature women are frustrated at not having found a love well into their forties, they should take comfort in the fact that the most rewarding relationships are often cemented later in life, when maturity is more likely to have developed. People are often in a great hurry to find love, stating they have waited too long already, but romantic love is not a product we can acquire from the world’s inventory of potential partners. We can’t wander into a store and get a lover off the shelf, yet many people act as if it’s that easy!
So what’s the real truth we all need to know about falling in love?
Love is a living force of life, and like all natural and living things, it has its own perfect timing to take root in our lives. It can never be coerced, bargained, bought, chained, or schemed. It is not domesticated and it cannot be tamed, managed or controlled. It does not exist to cater to you. The moment you cage it or take ownership over it, it will die.
The majority of people view romantic love as if it were an object…something they own. They expect it to be dependable, predictable, unchangeable, and that as an object, love is designed to meet their needs on demand. They aren’t aware that romantic love is a changing dynamic, a constantly moving energy force between two lovers, and that it can only be as “perfect” as we are.
Love’s Big Counterfeit: Sex and Romance
The biggest fantasy is that romantic attraction, or sexual chemistry, is love. It is not. Women often make the mistake of believing that if they have a sexual relationship with a man, he will fall in love. This is simply not the case. This assumption by women is influenced by a their emotional response to sexual intimacy, but men are very different. Sex and love are not equal, and if you are a woman, you should know that giving a man sex will not make him love you.
So to put it another way, being desired and being loved are often considered to be the same, but they most certainly are not. Likewise, romance-the heady beginnings of chemistry in action-is not the same thing as love. Young people in our society should be taught this: while romance is plentiful, true love is rare.
You Think You’re Ready for Love, But Are You?
You are most ready for true love when the idea of having it does not possess your mind. When you can understand that just because the right match has not yet come along, there is nothing inherently wrong with you and it does not mean you are unloved or unlovable. Whether you know it or not, you are loved by life and the Source of Life that gave rise to you. When you can understand that you are worthy of love, you will be in a position to enjoy a healthy relationship. When you have a healthy, balanced, accepting attitude about yourself and a trust in where your own life path is in this moment, this clears the way for wonderful events to occur.
As a living force of dynamic energy, love is not an object that falls from the sky onto other lucky people. So, if you want to know if you will have true love in your life, the question you have to answer is this: Do you know what that means?
Can you honestly say that you understand love? Are you willing to take the path necessary to choose a partner who knows how to love—or are you impatient, thinking you can make someone love you who does not have the capacity for love or who does not want it from you?
These are tough questions, and many who seek a love partner are uncomfortable with an honest examination of their own motives. Unless one is willing to “get real” about finding love, complications with relationships are sure to happen.
Despite the complications we create in relationships, human beings long for love. We do so because it is our very essence: there is a Divine Presence at the very core of all of us and this is love itself. An understanding of one’s essential identity is critical to finding a good romantic match, since people normally seek out partners they believe is a match to their superficial personalities. It is the connection between deeper Soul identities where true love is possible. As you understand the realities of love, you ready yourself to have its wondrous experience.
Love = Growth of Your Soul
For those of you who are ready to evolve into the greatest of all human experiences, romantic soul love, Kahlil Gibran has written incredible words that tell you everything you need to know:
“When love beckons to you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. …For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning….But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure, then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor…where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.”
Kahlil Gibran, “The Prophet”
Your love relationship will mirror who you are and your stage of development in life and it is always about spiritual lessons. If you will begin to move past the superficial definitions of love and think deeply about its real meaning, you will take that first step to experiencing a fulfilling relationship that will last… and raise both your Souls up, and up, beyond the stars, into an endless forever of bliss.

Psychic Clairvoyant Eye: Is This Romance True Love?

There is no more common question posed to a psychic clairvoyant than
“Tell me about my love life.”
Although people long for love, that does not mean all people can give love, or are able to receive it from another. Some people have personalities where intimacy and love cannot thrive. They can get only so close before they pull away, or worse, they use a pretense of love to get what they want.
To make a love relationship work requires that partners are emotionally healthy and relatively balanced human beings. They must take responsibility for their actions and have the courage to share their hearts with another.
The Need for a Realistic Perspective
It’s wise to think about “love assumptions” before starting a relationship. Many people are in romantic arrangements, not in love, because a true love relationship is not all about how a person qualifies and performs against a checklist. It is about harmonious balance between two people who honor one another as individuals, despite their paired identity. In true love, you will at times take more than you give, other times you will give more than you get. It’s not about keeping “score,” it’s about the expansive flow of energy from your heart to your beloved’s and back again.
Since relationships involve the rise and fall of emotional states, partners often experience unhappiness with one another from time to time. This is normal. But when the unhappiness becomes chronic, it’s time to work together on the relationship.
Many people who should end a relationship hang on when they should let go. Some try to endure a bad marriage by stepping outside the relationship for relief. Some people are with an incompatible partner that they tied up with in their youth, when a rush of hormonal highs and romanticized attraction was mistaken for a lifelong love—a “soul mate.” More than a few couples are together because their current partner was grabbed on the rebound from a previously failed relationship. Some stay because of the guilt associated with dissolution, financial worries, and a fear of the unknown.
There are far more unhappy relationships than many single people realize.
So if you’re a single person, feeling like the world is overflowing with happy lovers and that you’re left out, you can take comfort in the truth that the grass isn’t greener for everyone else. And contrary to what many believe, being with the wrong person is not better than being alone!
When it comes to having the right love in your life, it’s important to give deep thought to what love means to you. You also need to be realistic and be willing to engage in the difficult personal work that may be required before a fulfilling love relationship can become a part of your life.
Will This Relationship Work?
If you’re seeing someone, or hoping for a relationship with a certain person and you wonder if it’s going to work, ask yourself the following:
- Are both of you available and free to have a relationship? –No matter how strongly you feel, how much you think you are the better choice, if either one of you is with another partner; you are likely in for a very difficult path that rarely works out.
- Do both of you want a committed love relationship? –If your partner is emotionally available, the relationship will not see-saw “on-again, off-again.”
- Do both of you put effort into the relationship? –If one person does all the work to make it happen, it’s a red flag for serious trouble ahead.
- Can you be yourselves around each other? –Knowing what someone is really like takes time. Fast entanglements won’t give you an opportunity to know the other person. Relationships that got their start as a sexual romp often don’t stand the test of time because knowing each other was not the priority.
- Do you both keep your word and are you both consistent? –Respect is a vital sign of true love, and chronic inconsistency shows an absence of respect…and thus, an absence of healthy love.
- Do you trust this person? Are you trusted in return? –If you are constantly wondering if this person is unfaithful, it is a powerful indicator that the elements of a good relationship are lacking.
- Does the relationship have the emotional nutrient you hoped for?–Maybe there is a simple lack of understanding about your partner or yourself, but when efforts at communication fail to yield emotional nurturing, the relationship is in deep need of attention and repair.
- Are you honest with each other? –There can be no viable love without truth.
- Is this a personal, face-to-face relationship, as opposed to email, internet, or text? –Virtual reality connections are not relationships, they are cyberspace pretend, an outlet for fantasy.

Clean Negative Thought Forms from Your Aura and Feel Good Again!
Important: Please read “The Power of Thought Forms: What Are You Doing to Your Life?” before you read the following article.
People are often hammered by negative thoughts. While they wonder why, you have learned from our previous My Spirit Care article about thought-forms and how to cleanse the aura. Negative and troubling thoughts are more than brain synapses! They are energies you either create or pick up because you have similar frequencies in your own aura!
When the mind is allowed to idly dwell or when we obsess over the same thing
again and again, thought forms will be created that come back to haunt us, making it very difficult to let go of particular thoughts or behavior when we wish to stop thinking about something or acting in a certain way.
For example, a woman who thinks constantly, incessantly about an unrequited love but finally comes to the conclusion that it’s best to move on because the person is not a good romantic interest, may find that she can’t stop thinking about the person even though she wants to. “I can’t get him off my mind! So it must mean I’m not supposed to stop thinking about him! I must have a future with this person!” She assumes because she can’t stop thinking about him even though she wants to, that there is some fated purpose in her incessant thoughts… and that she is “not meant” to let go.
Far from her thoughts being some sign of cosmic purpose, she is a victim of a thought form that she herself made, as it keeps engaging her mind in an obsessive way. Terrible as it is, the thought forms made from improper thinking grow even stronger with repeated focus: their influence widens and deepens until circumstance (often unfortunate) sublimates it to other arising thought forms of similar negative frequency. Sublimated negative thought forms remain damaging. They do not just “go away,” but influence the deeper levels of the human psyche in more complex and entangled ways.
People trap themselves into negative cycles with their unwitting use of living energy: unproductive thinking, self-centered ego fantasies and negative thoughts have hidden and serious consequences. They lead to pathological and destructive behaviors, suffering, sadness, rage, and grief. Negative thought forms ruin lives. From a karmic and cosmic perspective, we must also know that what we send out to others, we will receive back. Negative thinking is a no-win scenario of the worst kind.
You Can Change It!
Thankfully, most people are victims of bad thought-forms only due to their complete ignorance. Knowledge provides the power to change everything.
The moment an unpleasant, obsessive, unproductive, fearful, depressed, hopeless, ugly, greedy, angry, hateful, condemnatory, jealous, wicked, injurious thought or mental out-picturing arises in your mind, immediately visualize this thought locked in a bubble of golden-white light and squeeze it until it evaporates in your mind. Say, “I negate and neutralize this idea and give it to Divine Light right NOW!” Then say, “Light, Love, Light!”
Another technique is to immediately respond, “Good-bye, LIE!” and mentally whoosh your dark thought into the light of the sun.
Done as often as needed, these actions neutralize negative thought forms and render them harmless. It won’t take long, if you practice this, before your thoughts become rarified and positive on a regular basis. It is an outstanding remedy for those caught up in negative thinking and helps to heal states of feeling depressed.
This will change your life. When enough people become aware, it will change the world.

The Power of Thought Forms: What Are You Doing to Your Life?

Filed under Clairvoyance and the World of Spirit, Diana's Articles, Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit, Psychic Articles and Clairvoyant Insight, Psychic Protection and Energy Cleansing
We have explained in other articles on My Spirit Care about the importance of cleansing the aura to remove bad energy and maintain balance of the spiritual, emotional and physical bodies. Another equally important aspect of keeping oneself psychically clean is to think good thoughts and negate bad ones so they do not commit damage in our own lives or the lives of other beings.
That old saying “Thoughts are things” isn’t just an adage! It’s true that thoughts are things. More precisely, they are thought-forms, very real energetic constructs that you create by thinking. They are part of your auric body, although they are often mobilized to go great distances across the material barriers that limit physical form.
For example, when you have an intense moment of thinking loving thoughts about your child who is away at summer camp, a corresponding thought form will be created that contains the energy of your feelings. Made of light, colored according to the frequency and energized by your focus on your child, this lovely formation of light will rush out from you through the miles and attach to a corresponding, resonant field in your child’s aura. He/she will feel Mother’s love from afar, because it has come in the form of a flying hug. The love bounces back, as well, reinforcing the loving energies within you, increasing your own capacity to be a loving person.
The more love you give, the more love you will get.
This is the reason the wise have spoken about Love being the greatest protector. We can offer shields of protection to others with our love because of thought- forms.
Negative thoughts, on the other hand, are not a gift we like to receive and should never be given to another. These cause psychic injuries—and more—and like a boomerang, will come back to injure the sender. I’m sure you’ve heard the old stories of how tomb raiders of the Pyramids had bad things happen to them because of ancient curses. Scientific-minded people would have you believe this was due to suggestion, but in fact the Egyptians whose duty was to protect the Pyramids were masters at the creation of negative thought-forms. Those explorers who were susceptible by reason of their own auric weaknesses would experience “bad luck” from negative thought-forms that attached to their auras. Not nice at all, very nasty.
Schematic of a Thought-Form
It would not be possible to provide an encyclopedia of what thought-forms look like because they are a lot like snowflakes: under general conditions, no two are exactly alike. Sometimes they are complex designs and sometimes they are lines, arrows, zigzags, clouds, balls, and boxes. They can look like creatures, spirals, thunderbolts, and architecture. Anyone who has looked through a kaleidoscope has had a little demonstration in how some thought forms can appear to the clairvoyant eye and how these change rapidly into something else.
They are made of living light, just like you, and there is no example in the third dimensional world that is adequate to compare their appearance.
Thought-form shapes and colors reflect the quality of the thought that made them. The pictures with this article are two dimensional drawings (made by a 3rd dimensional person!) of hyper-dimensional thought forms, so while the rendition is not perfect, it will give you an idea of what they look like to the relatively few clairvoyants who can see them. The greater the intellect or the stronger the focus, the more defined their construct. The more lovely the thought, the more beautiful its form.
Public Enemy Number One: Negative Thought-Forms!
It takes an especially trained Third Eye to know what thought forms mean or represent. Positive thought forms, which arise with positive thinking, are very desirable. We all want those around us! But negative thought forms are more common to the fearful human condition and silently wreck havoc in our lives. They are created by obsessive, reckless or negative thinking and they breed like an orgy of cockroaches!! Bad thought-forms create more compulsively negative thoughts and behaviors that continue to multiply in receiving and resonant energy fields.
What some in science call a “meme” and what sociologists call “mob mentality” a clairvoyant calls a thought-form. Truly, we are defining a mind virus. And yes, it is imminently real AND viral.
On a broad social level, repeated similar thoughts (sparked by mass belief) make thought forms larger and more intrusive, influencing things like public policy. Ever-increasing and fanatic religious fervor is an example of how thought- forms infect populations, or even how incompetent people gain positions of power, when no person “in their right mind” would support them. Powerful thought-forms created through ad campaigns and media hype push their way past reason and override conscious decision-making. The injury to society from negative thought-forms is beyond reckoning: the effects are seen, but not the energy that causes it.
The really good news is that we can cure the damage done by negative thoughts. In our next My Spirit Care post, we will explain how to “Clean Negative Thought Forms from Your Aura and Feel Good Again.” Don’t miss it!

A Shaman Minute #1, Spiritual Cleansing
In addition to other MySpiritCare articles on spiritual cleansing, here, here, and here, I hope to make this an on-going series of brief spiritual practices you can easily incorporate into your daily life, whether you meditate, or seek a more active way of connecting with Spirit. I call the series “A Shaman Minute,” because it only takes a minute (or maybe a few more) to do these beautiful spiritual exercises.
Here is a sacred way of doing a brief cleansing ceremony in preparation for establishing spiritual protection for yourself and others around you. It is a wonderful way to start the day and to help develop a daily spiritual practice if you’ve been wanting to.
It is THE source of power for women, and a very effective grounding substance for men.
Our bodies are made up mostly of water, and from the water we are born.
I always teach in my classes that the first thing to do is to “clean the vessel,” that is, to wash up, to cleanse, spiritually speaking. There are dozens of ways to do this, but I’ll give you a simple and effective one.
Pour a few ounces of water into a clean bowl and hold it up as high as is comfortable while asking that it be blessed and cleansed by God, Great Spirit, or whatever divine term or team you prefer to use. Ask for your guides, angels or others you are familiar with to bless and cleanse the water.
Now, place the bowl of water on a table or, if you are outside, on a rock or somewhere up off the ground. Dip your hands into it and pause a moment to feel its life force. Then, lift your hands out of the bowl and rub them together lightly, as if tenderly washing your hands. Bring your hands to your face, with your eyes closed, and feel the pureness of the water on your face. Rub your arms with your wet hands, and pause a moment to feel the cleansing spread throughout your entire body. It is good here to also prayerfully ask for help and healing, for guidance and protection, for strength and focus. Allow yourself to feel the act of being cleansed by the sacred water.
This is the first vital step to building and maintaining a wonderful daily habit of connecting with Spirit, and it only takes a Shaman Minute!
As always, if you need further help with energy issues in your life or if you need shamanic consultation, you can contact us here at MySpiritCare by calling toll-free, 888-494-0493.
Aho and Namaste.

Curiosity and Non-Conformity: the Twin Pillars of Spiritual Freedom

“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” –Albert Einstein
There is an old saying that sublimates a wrong idea: “Curiosity Killed the Cat.” Curiosity never hurt anyone, let alone killed them. One of the most important characteristics a cat…or a person and a seeker-of-truth…can have is curiosity!
Unfortunately, this very obvious truth won’t stop many people from remembering that nasty little slogan about how we can get killed just for asking. It’s time to change the saying to reflect reality instead of supporting a mind-control myth, so let’s say instead “Curiosity Saved the Cat” because we need curiosity to be alive inside. Without curiosity, we can become robotic, unthinking, “dumbed-down” and highly conformist. Without curiosity, we are very boring people, interested in only our microscopic world, our own immediate gratifications and interests and oblivious to what a mindless drone we have become. Without curiosity, we can have as many doctoral degrees as we can afford and still be blatantly ignorant because without curiosity, we will be closed off to finding timeless truth while we memorize textbooks that teach institutional dogma.
People are not encouraged to be curious and the aforementioned slogan has served to support the notion that being curious is foolish and bad for your health. —Which is what those with all the power want us to believe. When we don’t ask questions, we cannot threaten their authority. When we don’t challenge the status-quo, we are told by implication that we are being “good people” who don’t engage in risky, anti-social behavior.
Imagine that. Those who don’t want you to be curious want you to believe that being stupid is what makes a person safe and decent.
We all need to recognize how easily human beings can be enslaved by their mental programs. Pop-up slogans that come quickly to mind are small tidbits of the programming received over a lifetime, and these programs control the reality construct we believe to be real. In other words, our beliefs either limit or expand our potential and those that limit natural curiosity and the seeking it inspires will stand in the way of finding one’s true purpose in life.
It’ time to get very curious. It’s time to make the institutionally ignorant uncomfortable by asking lots of questions, rather than allow them to make you feel uncomfortable for asking!
Have you noticed in your life that the social systems that have dictated to you, have not wanted you to be curious? Just think about the times you have asked questions and have received either indignant or evasive answers. It’s likely that at one time or another, you were made to feel embarrassed for being curious, for asking questions, for challenging a situation, an “authority,” or a so-called fact.
I am often sad to see that many have replaced curiosity and its result, learning, with blind following, dogmatic assumptions, and the pursuit of empty fixes. We are all on a great Cosmic adventure and many of us snooze and sleepwalk right through it. Tragic!
Life is about learning and discovery…even without the intention to learn something, every day offers something wondrous to discover. Unfortunately, many of us don’t care much about that unless we have a problem we don’t know how to fix. Instead of looking for easy (and empty) answers, when you find yourself stuck in a problem, that’s the time to let your God-given curiosity take over.
—Why am I experiencing this? —What is to be learned from this? How do I handle things differently, what can I change or not change? What do I have to accept? Is this a pattern in my life and what is it telling me about myself?
In our fast-paced world, the majority of people don’t feel they have the time to engage in spiritual exploration or personal seeking. It’s much easier to get our beliefs about life and ourselves “out of the box.” Prepackaged answers are so very convenient, until we learn the answers that we assumed to be true are not, until the false assumptions we hold like insurance policies for tough times do not come through with the help that they promised.
Every person is destined to discover that the formula ideas and prepackaged answers are fancy gift boxes with nothing inside, hollow and void. After childhood—once our God-given curiosity had been wiped out—most of us accept what we are told about life and what we are told about ourselves. Only when adults face situations of crisis where the standard answers come up empty, are people driven to seek new truth to get them through. But we need not wait for the Universe to get our attention in that way.
We can begin now to search for the greater purpose in our lives, to understand the truth that we are all interconnected, and to know that to conform is to be utterly deadened and made empty inside, like an animated puppet without true free will or a Living Mind.
How do we cultivate curiosity and individuality when it is so strongly discouraged? Follow the guidelines below and you will be well on your way to being who and what you were born to be.
- Recognize that first and foremost, you are a unique spiritual being having a particular physical experience. You are not your body, your occupation, your education, your bank account, your family tree or any other label you can think of.
- Recognize that all institutions are man-made and those who serve them are acting in an imperfect human capacity, nothing more.
- Recognize that privilege is no indicator of being special: you are not your stuff or the station you were born into. You are what you make of yourself.
- You do not need permission from anyone to be yourself, whatever that may be in any period of your life. Being yourself is your birthright!
- Fear of what others will think of you is a plague of mind and spirit. It was implanted in you at a young age to make you conform and let false authority go unchallenged. Ditch that fear before it ruins your life.
- You have the right to know the truth. Others do not have the right to keep the truth from you.
- If you will know the truth, be the truth. Be honest in thought, word, and deed.
- Come to know that Truth is its own reward, and although it’s not easily found, it’s worth more than anything else in this world because without truth, nothing in this world is real, not even love.
It’s time to care for your Spirit by honoring who you truly are. Here’s to asking lots of questions, being insatiably curious, and at long last…changing the world into a beautiful place to be…just by being your True Self! Freedom to be authentic and make your own way through life is your birthright. We wish you a most rewarding journey!
When you need guidance and support on your journey in life, we at MySpiritCare are here for you. Call us for spiritual coaching and clairvoyant psychic readings at 888-494-0493 to help you be who you were born to be!

Clairvoyant Sight into the Spirit World

In my years of work as a clairvoyant, my clients ask me what “The Other Side” is really like. Most are surprised to learn that the Spirit World is very much like our own, except that truth and love reign supreme and reality is created at the speed of thought.
A consultation I gave for a client years ago is an excellent example of the parallels between the spirit world and this one. When I was clairvoyant viewing for this client, a twelve-year-old girl came to me, accompanied by her Spirit Guide. The little girl was very excited to talk to me, wanting to let her mother know that she liked it over there very much, that she was in school, had many friends and a former family dog. But most of all…most of all…she smiled for me very big, revealing the braces on her teeth. Her message was most urgent: “Be sure to tell Mommy that I got my braces!!”
The woman for whom I was reading broke down immediately in ecstatic tears. Although I had absolutely no prior knowledge of her daughter before the session began, her mother told me that this child was killed in a car accident while going to the orthodontist, on her way to a brace-fitting appointment.
Now, a rational person could ask me, “Why would she go to school in the Spirit World? Without a physical body, why would she have braces?”
Before I answer that, let’s peek behind the veil at what the Spirit World looks like and what people who have crossed over do to “entertain” themselves. Since they don’t sit on clouds and play the harp, then what do they do with their “time?”
It’s hard for us in this world to understand, but there is no time in the spirit world; or any clocks, calendars, or dates. This is a timeless dimension. Spirits do not contend with issues of time and all but the most advanced do not even understand it anymore. Many of the facets of earthly life have become like a dream to them.
Speaking of spiritual dreams, the way for you to begin to understand timelessness is by recalling your physical dreams. Time, during dreaming events, is often blurred and nonsensical. Example: In a dream, you can be in one certain place and another place a thousand miles away in a mere instant. And, you can be in the year 2011 and suddenly find yourself dreaming you are in another time period, without any sequence of time happening. This happens because in dreamtime, you can tap into the Reality outside of linear time, where time does not exist and all potentialities exist together. As in your dreams, the Greater Reality–the spiritual foundation of our existence–operates with thought or the expression of Consciousness and all events that occur in a physical timeline happen at once in an instant.
Even though there is no time on the Other Side, no schedules, no limits, there is an infinite array of things to do, to be, and to experience. How this plays out for the individual who crosses over will depend on the level of his/her consciousness and the entrenched beliefs that splay from the root of that person’s awareness and their spiritual development achieved during the physical lifetime.
In the Spirit World, what we believe and what we expect is what we will get. Consciousness, and the beliefs that give rise to perceptions and experience, are the builders of reality in the Spirit World.
The child with braces on her teeth needed a seamless transition in order to adjust to the sudden shock of crossing. Her consciousness was focused on receiving braces at the moment of her passing. Her Guides, ever loving and immensely wise, assisted her with the construction of a reality that was comfortable and familiar for her upon her sudden transition and separation from the physical reality. Her personalized Spirit reality also assisted her mother, at her level of consciousness; to have the assurance her daughter was perfectly happy and well-cared for.
In the Spirit World there are vistas of indescribable beauty. The colors are alive with light and vibrant to an exquisite degree. People go fishing (if they loved to do so in physical life) and they walk their beloved dogs who crossed over before. They eat wonderful food, can make love and create music; because, this is the Paradise of lore. People generally assume the appearance of a physical age where they were the most comfortable and happy during their physical life, or to be recognized most easily by loved ones on earth.
Because consciousness and personal development shape the reality one experiences when crossing over, those with a more negative consciousness will experience situations that reflect their mindset and the energy emissions that were prevalent in earthly life. Some might call this Hell, although there is no such place taught by religions about eternal suffering in fire and brimstone. While these can be very unpleasant experiences, once the inner Light and the love of their being is recognized, the negative, frightening, and darker side of spiritual existence will evaporate and those persons are then lifted by their Spirit Guides into the higher frequency of proverbial Paradise.
The state of a person’s consciousness or the purity of their aura will determine their initial experience when crossing over. Some will experience Jesus, or Buddha, or the Virgin Mary: some will see Joseph Smith, Apollo, Shiva, or any other representation of their religious/philosophical convictions when they first arrive on the Other side. The early stages of spiritual existence are keyed to what we believe to be true. And no matter what people believe to be real; whether they see a red devil with a pitchfork, Biblical scenes, Muslim virgins, or a foggy “nothing,” every person that crosses over to the Other Side will share the common reality of a Life Review.
In the Life Review, one experiences–first person–the emotions, effects, and experiences that their actions caused other people to feel and experience during their physical life. Based on the intentions and actions of their lifetime, this can either be a hellish or illuminating experience. Most people experience a mixture of happiness and pain, as average people are neither “saints” nor “sinners,” exclusively.
Heaven is the Other Side. Everyone goes there on physical death. This is the place where the truth about one’s self becomes glaringly evident and for those who suffer from darkened consciousness, it can seem like less than Heaven until their awareness shifts into a realization of love: self-love and love for others. In the state of unconditional Divine Love, we are destined to know great peace, joy, and overflowing love while we are prepared to undertake yet another life, wherein our spiritual quest for full Spiritual Awakening and enlightenment will continue.

The Change in The World We Seek, We Must Be

PART ONE: “Yes, Virginia, There is a Shadow.”
There is something widely overlooked and highly underrated among spiritual seekers in today’s world: the absolute necessity of having humility if we are to deeply change ourselves and achieve enlightenment. As we take on the New Year of 2011 and the much-heralded 2012 ahead, it might be a good time to take a thoughtful look at where our beliefs and attitudes have mistakenly taken us…and how we may want to correct our course.
If we don’t do this, then the potential of human destiny will be nothing more than a repeat of human history, with our excited expectations unrealized just the same as the ages gone before us. As the saying goes, “The definition of insanity is to do the same thing expecting different results.” If we don’t change on the inside and thus, our actions on the outside, neither will the outcome of our future change. The precedent needed to establish change is an attitude of genuine humility: we have to admit to ourselves that we don’t know it all, because if we did we wouldn’t needlessly suffer.
We all need to be asking ourselves, “Why don’t things in this world ever substantially change for the better?” Despite the teachings of endless spiritual gurus and appointed mortals claiming to speak for an infinite God; despite the so-called evolution of consciousness; despite thousands of spiritual books, conventional religious texts and their assertive interpreters along with a heaping smorgasbord of spiritual modalities; despite more restrictive laws, political promises, and lofty proclamations; despite countless charitable organizations and movements for positive change…we still have a world overflowing with injustice, violence, hatred, ignorance, inequality, corruption, deceit, and so on.
What we believe we are doing to change the world isn’t working. We need to examine why.
This is a world on the edge of precipitous change, as our treasured sense of what is real and what is true is unraveling slowly and quite naturally…because all deception and extreme corruption is destined to disintegrate eventually. Often in our history it is people and their societies that self-destruct, but even so, the very state of Existence itself perpetually seeks a state of balance and so the pendulum that swings to extremes inside of vast cosmic cycles will eventually return to rest, momentarily, at the center. A place of peace and balance.
Just how far to an extreme we have to go with our human suffering, before regaining balance in the world, is up to us. This very day is the moment of decision that will determine the world of tomorrow. Why? Because as the social systems begin to fail, (and they are) chaos will replace faux stability. The structures upon which people have so heavily relied, and which have provided an artificial perception of life and reality, will not be in place to hold them up. Even religion, philosophy, and many a person’s spiritual certainties are destined to fail the test of time and truth. The only thing that will not fail us, is the deepest truth about who we really are and what we are really capable of. Before we can know that, we have to meet and know our inner shadow self, from which the darkest experiences of being human emerge. The disintegration on the outside is not the byproduct of external forces but the result of internal forces at war with themselves.

Part Two: The Change in the World We Seek, We Must Be
January 27, 2011 by diana

The hard conditions in the world, set in motion by our deeply internal thrashing about, will force needed changes within some of us–but it is much better to change before we are compelled to do so. It will be very difficult for the majority of people to discover themselves in the chaos to come: many will not. What we need right now is a solid understanding of ourselves (both the light of the soul and the shadow of the ego) and a strong connection to our inner Light so that when chaos comes we will know how to rebuild a New Earth. Only when we have already rebuilt ourselves, will we be ready and up to that glorious task.
While we can easily define countless things in the world that need changing, deep inner work is hard work and most of us prefer to look outside of ourselves for seemingly easier answers. That’s not hard to understand, because any call to examine the shadows inside ourselves feels too much like self-punishment. Few on a spiritual path are ready to do that, because the first step to attaining spiritual freedom is to climb over the decades of inculcated feelings of unworthiness heaped upon us by both a demanding artificial society and judgmental religious philosophies. Because (superficially) the two objectives appear to be contradictory, we can easily ignore the deeper inner work of knowing our shadow, thinking we can preempt it all with positive affirmations and declarations of being Divine. Talk of painful things or negative aspects can seem like old Heresy to a new spiritual paradigm, which by its very nature offers many teachings on the necessary rejection of “negativity.”
Hoping for a Spiritual Bailout from the Universe
Embracing the whole truth about ourselves is not heresy, though many react as if it were. Bare truth is the only gospel that counts. So while many people wait to be bailed out of misery by Rapture, a Millennial Christ, 2012, benevolent aliens, etc., those who are spiritual promise keepers with a soul path to change this planet will be doing the inner work to pave the way for positive change.
Yes, “We are the ones we”ve been waiting for.”
A glance over human history proves that we cannot just be passive and count on any exceptional cycle of time to force enlightenment upon the world. In all ages people have looked to the sky, to prophets and to social reversals to save them from their suffering.
Prophecies have come and gone in the history of the world, but the going of them…the failure to happen…escapes the fervent believers of today. We humans have not yet evolved enough to learn that we cannot depend on any so-called Age to save us from ourselves because it is our own beliefs and actions that determines the Age that is upon us.
Sacrifice Beliefs on the Altar of Truth
What we deeply believe directs our actions and paves the way for what comes next. And even a positive belief, if not grounded in understanding and truth, will not bring truly positive results. There is a lot of positive thinking going on within the new spiritual paradigm and while this is all very hopeful, it is coming up profoundly short when it comes to making the world a just and enlightened place to be.
To find out what’s gone wrong with our spiritual professions and why there is so much suffering in this world, there are missing pieces of truth we need to find– not out in the open, not understood or even talked about–but hidden from many. Spiritual truth is so simple, so basic, and yes, unglamorous…but not all that glitters is gold. There is a simple starting point we all must return to and once we understand how to do it and why we need to, we really can begin to change the world for the better!

Continued from Part One and Part Two
As 2012 is just another year away and the expectations of social, political, environmental and spiritual changes are on the rise, it is up to each one of us to decide what we will do to ensure that any transformation to happen on this planet will have a positive effect on all the beings that share this place as a collective home. To be sure, there is cleansing that needs to occur and matters that need to be made right. Chaos and difficulty are certain to accompany any great sweeping changes because the status quo of modern life will not go down easy. The energy for change is building around the planet; just as recent events in Egypt and the Middle East signal the fight against oppression, the intense energy that is yet to come can also be harnessed to put an end to oppression and injustice for all peoples.
The concept of chaos frightens many. As human beings, one of the deepest, most compelling drives is to attain comfort and to keep it. We don’t want things that we believe are good for us to change; we don’t want to grow old; we don’t want to suffer. We fear the proverbial night…the dark scenarios that come into everyone’s life at one time or another…and all too often, we fear that by taking our focus off of our own immediate needs we will somehow lose our balance and lose what we’ve worked so hard to get and hold onto to.
This fundamental and pervasive self-protectionism and human selfishness is evident everywhere: in politics, it demonstrates as a profound lack of compassion for the unfortunate masses and a self-serving lust for power. In religion, it demonstrates as hypocrisy, fear-mongering, and lip service. In education, it demonstrates as haughty intellectual judgment and tragic social programming. In relationships, it demonstrates as possessiveness and neurotic obsessions. In diplomacy, it unwinds as treachery, intrigue, war, corruption, and assassination. In economics, it plays out as a possessing greed and the subsequent enslavement/destruction of billions of human lives. In spirituality, it demonstrates as self-serving recipes for enlightenment and regurgitated platitudes that fatten the cowering, simpleton ego while starving the ingenious, immortal Soul.
The Road to Nowhere is Paved With Flattery
Fortunes have been amassed and careers built on the promotion of the “Law of Attraction” and other self-empowerment paradigms (hijacked from uncredited metaphysical teachers who lived in the early 20th century) that victoriously declare we create our own reality and that we are gods who can summon all that we desire by mastering cosmic law. Unfortunately–being the humans that we are–we fail to question the worthiness of teachings that appeal to our most selfish, egotistical, and self-serving aspects. We fail to question the rightness of positioning ourselves in a spiritual ivory tower, that we are somehow separate from suffering because we believe we are too holy to go there.
People do have a burning interest in themselves. They will pay large sums to feel good, so the new age industry cashes in on the ache in people’s hearts to be something special. Millions of people are being used by a system that caters to their spiritual hunger and their longing for fast answers and a fast fix to ease psychological suffering. The end result is that the world at large is not improved. Nothing changes because nothing of real importance has changed.
To understand our own human nature, we must possess a heightened awareness of the spiritual traps we will surely encounter because of our human egos…and how outside influences seduce our egos for their own motives, gain, self-importance, or power.
Every human ego has a profound need to feel “special,” to stand out or above everyone else. The ego is always active and on the prowl, viewing the spiritual path as something it will permit as long as the illusory human self is made to feel good. In short, the ego is all about self-interest. Thus, human beings are susceptible to flattery and that which falsely inflates our sense of importance. We look for flattery from others or seek reasons to flatter ourselves, to feel good about ourselves.
Narcissm: The Modern Counterfeit of Healthy Self-Esteem
There is a difference between pathological self-absorption and essential self-esteem. Ego-driven self-reinforcement has given rise to the shadow side of self-esteem, narcissism. Everywhere today we witness the mad pursuit of what amounts to self-esteem substitutes: philosophies, products, and politics all about the “Great Me” or the “Greatest Us.” This has led to a brutally callous and narcissistic society, devoid of healthy humility and life-changing compassion for others.
Humble Pie is Soul Food
Many spiritual seekers have come to believe that humility is no longer a necessary virtue but rather, a detrimental teaching of a dying paradigm. We can, in fact, end up applying great effort to purge humility from our lives as we trade a religious dogma of unworthiness for a rightful understanding of our own value and place in the Universal design. Humility is assumed by many to be a shackle of spiritual oppression and control, a stricken ruin from the fallen temple where sin and shame formed the foundation of needing a redeemer and a church to make one worthwhile in the eyes of a punishing god formed of orthodoxy’s clay.
In haste and misunderstanding we have thrown humility out with the baptismal waters, have unwittingly discarded the first foundational principle so necessary to our spiritual growth. Famished for evidence of self-worth and personal empowerment, people have begun to push the spiritual pendulum to it’s opposite and narcissistic extreme: gobbling up modern dogma that fattens human egos with the vanity of misplaced self-importance from “teachers” and “gurus” who have absolutely no humility and who teach none. They feed on our longing to feel worthy and they make sure that we do, without deepening our understanding of life beyond the superficial efforts at mending our broken spirits. These new age leaders cannot teach what they do not know, and so the blind are still leading the blind. This is not the sign of a New Age: it is the same old story since the beginning of time.
Raise the Bar in Your Quest for Greater Truth
Human society has been structured to attempt order and conformity and as such, tends to break the human spirit by demanding conformity to social norms. People are accustomed to living like sheep: even metaphysical seekers who don’t conform to religious dogma can end up conforming to retail New Age beliefs, being sheep to what’s popular but not necessarily true. Conformity gives short-term comfort due to peer acceptance, but it creates long-term suffering. Conformity smothers the wild, ferocious, untamed Soul, which is forever free and forever questing.
Needless, unnatural, contrived suffering has been with us since the beginning of recorded history. “Man’s inhumanity to man” has its origins with rulers who claimed the divine right of rule, who oppressed the masses and made people into mere machines to serve punishing political/religious systems. From the Sumerians, to Egypt, to South America, to the kings of western civilization and the churches they established for political power, from every corner of the planet in all generations, belief systems were established for the purpose of giving answers to the mysteries of life, to make unbearable conditions seem bearable for the suffering masses. Promises of a better afterlife became conciliatory beliefs, because people want answers to alleviate their misery. Countless many have provided an array of answers to the mysteries of life, but very few have been able, or allowed, to share truth.
Your Personal Mission is Highly Unique, Unlike Any Other
Life is filled with mystery. Can we learn to bear that? Can we learn to curtail our demands to know every little thing–as if we could even bear the truth if we were to really find it? The immensity of the cosmos is a good place to start our considerations in the lesson of humility. But then, we have even devised an answer to quell the discomfort of feeling so small in comparison to infinity: we made a god in our own image who made us the center of his universe. Because that came with a punishing and yes, humiliating paradigm, we have since broken through the belief of being a subject of god to being gods ourselves. We have mistaken our need to stop being humiliated for the true meaning of humility, which is the portal to all true knowledge and wisdom.
While it is very true that we are all Infinite Consciousness, and that both quantum theory and mystical tradition suggest that thoughts and awareness can shape the experience of physical reality, there is considerably more to the achievement of self-realization than the declaration that we are gods who can command power and riches with the spoken word and a wish board.
Even as you are able to change the conditions of your life (you just may get that house or money or success) remember that your personal consciousness/belief has wrought the change, not the formula you used. But then, if your consciousness is not shaped by something far deeper than the superficial interests of a brief mortal life, then this will be just another lifetime like all the others: eons of running the hamster wheel of a blind delusion. Despite our instilled beliefs to the contrary, the ability to manifest things is not equivalent to enlightenment. The ability to live true to who you really are…is. The “power to manifest” is not power, even though millions believe that. True power, on the other hand, is a very humbling experience as it arises from profound self-knowledge…our light and shadow, our strengths and weakness, our humanity and our divinity.
It is a fact of existence that we are, each and every one, special. There is no need of a dogma or belief system to make that so. There is only one of you, an entirely unique aspect of Divine Consciousness animating your temple of flesh and bone, living an entirely unique life and circumstance that cannot be recreated again in all of time and space. You are infinitely unique and special, yet the Universe is not centered around you. When you realize these basic truths of life, you can be a humble and effective agent for positive change.
The “Law of Love in Action“ Creates Positive Change in the World
Be who you truly are. If you will be enlightened and effect a positive change in the world, you will evolve over time and you will change…you cannot remain static, safe and “comfortable.” You will take risks and know loss. You will leave the flock of sheep and assume the mantle of personal power that comes from being unique. You will light up the world because you will be authentic and loving, daring and free.
The Light of your Soul is truthful, humble, simple, and mighty. It exists to serve others because it knows that what happens to one, happens to all. We must come to see that another’s misfortune is our own. We are being called upon to take action to lift up the lives of other people and beings on the planet–not just because this is the true path to Freedom from suffering and shadow–but because the First law of existence is to love others as we love ourselves.
We are all in this together. It is time for change in this world and it is time to be the change that we seek. This is not difficult: it’s as easy as remembering to be humble and to want the truth about ourselves, first. Then, we just need to live life sincerely, with active courage, and with an ever-expanding love in our hearts.
